Description

My feelings for this lake are like those for a dear friend. This was a day that offered a respite from the ways of the world, a departure, for a moment, into timelessness. :)

When I first saw the thumbnail of this photo, I knew that the scene was a very serene one. As a result, I experienced a sense of calmness, as if to take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily living. It was difficult for me to get my eyes off the stillness of the water that truly makes a whole difference to the serenity of the entire spring scene.

The lake is so glassy that the reflections from the hills, the clouds, and the sky truly stand out. The deep, dark colors are so very relaxing to the eye and are quite natural. The textures and outlines of the hills and stones are quite sharp.

Looking at the sky, I find the blurriness of the clouds to be a bit distracting, as if they did not correspond with the clarity of the scene. And I find the clouds to be a bit unreal, as if they were some cotton balls pulled apart.

The beautiful scenery allows for a very special viewing time for anyone that needs some respite from the cares of the world! <img src="e.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)" />
