I'm so in love with the desert! This is Saguaro National Park West in Tucson, Arizona. I combined 2 images here, one exposed for the sky and one for the ground.

The tall cactus is the Saguaro - and they are in fact the tallest cacti. They can live for over 200 years, and they don't sprout their first arm until they're 70-80 years old. The Saguaro can reach a height of 60 feet, with roots only 6 inches deep, but radiating out as far from the plant as it is tall. Magnificent desert sentinels!

Great shot, the setting sun gives so much warmth to this photo :) Very nice idea to have combined 2 images to get the best out of the scene
