Fresh, clean and eyecatching Misty Maples 2 is a beautiful shot that catches the viewers eye and holds it as the depth and detail beyond the fog in the middle third is revealed. In truth I did not even notice the faintly visible trees in the distance on first viewing, but that for me is the mark of a shot beyond the mere snapshot, when a picture surprises you with a hidden layer of depth you were previously unaware of.
The colours are bold and vibrant and evocative of the season they portray. The exposure and clarity are spot on as is the depth of field.
My only criticism is that (for me) the leaves in both the upper and lower horizontal third are a tad too sharp, awell as the tree trunk on the left hand side. It's not a deal breaker by any means but I do believe were it just a smidgin (smidgin's a word.......I looked it up<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="=D" title="=D (Big Grin)" />) the eye would settle more easily on the frame.
Further than that the only thing I can comment on is the colour which although fresh and autumnal to my eye is just slightly garish.Perhaps a slight red hue may just tone it down slightly or the introdution of perhaps a magenta hue to the midtones.

All things being equal I believe 'Misty Maples 1' is the better shot [link] but this is still a fine addition to anyones gallery and a perfect compliment to it's fore runner.
